Every year Qatar National Day is commemorated on 18 December to celebrate the rise of Sheikh Jassim as the father and founder of the State of Qatar. This day give people an occasion to honour the history and identity of their country, and to acclaim those who have worked and continue to work to make Qatar a great nation.
Pakistan International School was a part of all of these promising events which were held in Lusail Multipurpose Hall. There were performances of more than 7000 students from Asian Schools who took part in this remarkable Qatar National Day Celebration.
Ceremony commenced with Qatar National Anthem which was sung by students of different schools. It was a memorable spectacle as anthem was sung with pride and honor. The parade began which included 15 Asian schools of Qatar. Participants carried various banners and items representing the culture of Qatar. Major among these were Qatar Rail and the upcoming FIFA Championship 2022. Participants of PISQ presented a military march (BW), dressed up as famous brands of Qatar (GW), and fashioned a human pyramid (BW). Participants also flaunted their get ups of butterflies and falcons (PW).
All the principals, head girls, head boys, team managers, coordinators of schools were called upon the stage for the photographs with the chief guest. Principals were awarded with participation shields and certificates. Vice Principal of Primary Wing and Mrs Reema Rashid Team Manager received the shield on behalf of the Principal Mrs Nargis Raza Otho. PISQ also participated in General and Qatar Thematic Shows and General and Qatar Thematic songs. All in all the ceremony was gratifying and entertaining. Audience enjoyed and cherished the performances of schools. These sorts of events bring self-confidence and form a sense of competition among students and other teams.
